We are celebrating 5 years tenure at The Viaduct Theatre.  Since taking over in 2019, we have grown the theatre massively in terms of audience as well as building links with exciting artists and visiting theatre companies from all over the UK.  We have seen noteworthy success in our programme, catering to a large and growing need for quality drama and new writing within our geographical area, usually not addressed without stepping into Leeds or Greater Manchester.  We have had so much excitement and support from noteworthy industry individuals and organisations for what we are trying to achieve and how.  And most importantly, the feedback from audiences has been exceptional and we know they love the unique experience of visiting Dean Clough, dining in True North and watching the best of regional and national Theatre in the very special atmosphere of The Viaduct Theatre.

The important achievements and leaps forward we have made are countered by the challenges of the physical space we occupy.  The capital investment now needed within the main auditorium is significant.  As such, we are taking a break to regroup and find the best way forward.  Programming is currently on hold.  Behind the scenes, we are in discussions with various partnerships and we are pursuing all avenues to find the best possible future for The Viaduct Theatre.
